On 10 March 2026, Ambassador Hideaki MATSUO paid an inaugural courtesy call on Dr. Mary Stephen, WHO Representative to Eritrea.
They confirmed the contributions to global health challenges through cooperation between Japan and WHO, and exchanged views on the medical environment and the status of infectious disease in Eritrea.
