On April 2, 2026, Ambassador Hideaki Matsuo paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Luul Gebreab, Minister of Labour & Human Welfare.
Ambassador Matsuo heard from Minister Luul about the current state of welfare for children, persons with disabilities, and the elderly, as well as initiatives related to vocational training for workers, undertaken by the Ministry.
They also concurred on cooperation between the two countries in advancing social welfare and vocational training in Eritrea.
