Ambassador Matsuo Attends SLD Response Workshop

On 31 March, Ambassador Hideaki MATSUO attended a workshop on response to Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) in livestock, held at the Ministry of Agriculture.
This workshop was conducted to wrap up the LSD response project in Eritrea, implemented by the FAO Eritrea Office and the Ministry of Agriculture with the support from the Government and people of Japan. H.E. Mr. Arefaine Berhe, Minister of Agriculture and Ms. Ariella Glinni, Representative of FAO Eritrea also attended.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Matsuo expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO for their efforts in implementing this project and emphasized the achievements and effectiveness of the LSD control measures undertaken through the cooperation of the three parties. He also expressed his determination to continue working with the Government of Eritrea and FAO to support Eritrea's resilience building and sustainable development.
